Today, Vantage is launching an update to its Explore Bar, giving users a new way to quickly find and navigate to the reports, pages, and saved objects they use every day. Users can also use quick actions to create new reports or dashboards, access recently viewed reports, and directly access commonly utilized pages, all from the top navigation.

Searching for reports using the Explore Bar

As Vantage customers' FinOps practices have matured, they now manage large volumes of Cost Reports, Dashboards, and other resources across their accounts. Finding the right report or navigating to the correct page often required navigating through many pages, or having to determine which folders reports were stored in. It could often be challenging to quickly access objects when iterating through workflows within the console.

Now, customers can use the Explore Bar as a unified index to search across all of Vantage. They can search for and access pages and core primitives across the platform, including Cost Reports, Dashboards, Budgets, Folders, Saved Recommendation Views, Issues, and other supported objects. The Explore Bar also surfaces recent and starred reports, quick actions such as creating a new Cost Report or Dashboard, and easy access to commonly visited pages such as Recommendations or Financial Planning. This makes it much faster to move between workflows, find saved objects, and take action without navigating through multiple menus.

The Explore Bar is now available to all customers. To get started, open the Explore Bar in the top navigation bar from anywhere in the Vantage console, or using the keyboard shortcut Command/Control + K.
