Today, Vantage is launching PDF Exports for Cost Reports, allowing users to generate PDF representations of their cloud costs and usage for distribution. Customers can now perform one-time or scheduled exports of any Cost Report to share with stakeholders outside the Vantage platform.

You can now export Cost Reports as PDFs for distribution outside the Vantage platform

Vantage customers use Cost Reports to perform analyses on costs and usage for organizations, teams, and applications. Historically, users have been able to export tabular data from Cost Reports as CSV files that were useful for further data manipulation outside of Vantage, but difficult for users to visually interpret. Often times, users want to export reports as PDFs for use cases such as executive reporting that provide easier distribution and consumption without requiring recipients to log in to Vantage or have access to the platform.

Now, Vantage customers can export PDFs of Cost Reports to share cost and usage insights with stakeholders. Once a user has created a view of a Cost Report that they want to share, they can click on the “Export” icon within any supported Cost Report and select PDF. A PDF of that view will be generated and sent to the Vantage users of their choice. Distribution of PDFs can also be done in an automated, scheduled fashion through Report Notifications in daily, weekly, or monthly cadences. This is ideal for executive reporting or out-of-console notifications to teams, informing them of their costs.

PDF Exports for Cost Reports are now available to all users. To get started, users can navigate to any Cost Report within the Vantage console. For more information on how to get started, see the Cost Reports documentation.
