Vantage Launches Comparative Cost Reporting

Comparative Cost Report cover

Today Vantage announces the launch of comparative reporting on Cost Reports. Customers can now choose to display costs by day, week, or month in the costs table by toggling the “By Date” option.

Previously, Cost Reports gave users flexible filters and multi-dimensional groupings to change how costs were displayed graphically. In the default option of “Cumulative”, costs were shown for the current and previous period. Users could also select “Daily”, “Weekly”, and “Monthly” date bins to graph costs by day, week, and month. However, it was not possible to see the exact total for each date bin without hovering over each bar on the chart.

By Date Switcher

Toggle the "By Date" switch to see costs by day, week, and month in the costs table.

Now, Cost Reports have a “By Date” toggle above the costs table on the right. This changes the table view to match the time series data displayed on the graph as opposed to the accrued and previous view. This allows users to see a tabular view of specific costs per day, week, and month. The dates displayed will match the date filter and the date bin setting, for example “Monthly”.

This feature is now available for all users, including users in the free tier. To see a comparative view of costs, head to any Cost Report and toggle costs “By Date”.
